When transporting goods, assess their weight and value.
Carrier’s Liability:
- Water transport liability – up to 2.00 SDR/1 kg (gross) or 666.67 SDR per TEU container.
- Rail transport liability – up to 6 Swiss francs per 1 kg, unless the cargo value is specified.
- Road transport liability – up to 8.33 SDR/1 kg (gross).
- Air transport liability – up to 19 SDR/1 kg (gross).
(SDR (Special Drawing Rights) – a unit of account established by the International Monetary Fund, approximately 3.8 LTL).
It is recommended to insure the cargo additionally.
